Sumerian Skin was founded on a simple belief: skincare should nourish the skin, not overwhelm it.
Created by Lacy Walters, Sumerian Skin is a small-batch skincare brand inspired by one of history's oldest beauty traditions. The brand takes its name from the ancient Sumerians, one of the first civilizations known to use beef tallow as part of their skincare rituals. Thousands of years later, that same ingredient remains at the heart of every Sumerian Skin formula.
After struggling with skin concerns such as irritation, dryness, and dullness, Lacy began searching for simpler, more effective alternatives to conventional skincare. Her research led her to beef tallow—a nutrient-rich ingredient traditionally used for centuries to support healthy skin. Rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, along with skin-compatible fatty acids, tallow quickly became the foundation of a skincare philosophy centered on nourishment rather than complexity.
What began as experimenting with small batches in a home kitchen soon evolved into Sumerian Skin: a collection of thoughtfully crafted products made with high-quality, ethically sourced ingredients and inspired by the wisdom of the past.
